Asus offsets shrinking notebook market with 3 million tablet sales

It's not a secret that the notebook and PC markets aren't in their best condition yet, so what are manufacturers doing in order to offset their uninspiring performances on those markets?
Well, they sell tablets, that's what they do! At least, that's the solution that worked for Asus, which is one of the leading players in the PC industry.

Leading player or not, though, Asus has seen a drop in sales in the laptop andPC categories, so good thing it also sold those 3 million tablets in order to keep investors happy. Asus has made a $202 million profit on a revenue of $3.5 billion, which is up 5.8% compared to the company's previous fiscal quarter. On top of that, Asus is continuing its successful penetration in the US market, as the US now accounts for 23% of the company's sales, which is up 6% year-on-year.
