New features of Android 4.3 leaked from Meetup posting

New features of Android 4.3 leaked from Meetup postingA Meetup posting made by the San Francisco Android User Group reveals a couple of new features that are coming to Android 4.3.
During an event scheduled for May 16th in San Francisco, a trio of  developer "gurus" from HTC will discuss Bluetooth Low Energy and Open GL ES 3.0. According to the posting, the members in the group will learn about BLE specification and the new APIs involved along "with some hands-on demos with various devices, heart rate monitors, key finders, and multi-sensor kits (temperature, pressure, humidity, accelerometer).

Open GL ES 3.0 is expected to bring "updated shading language, enhanced texturing" to Android. The mobile graphics specification is already supported by chips like the Qualcomm Snapdragon 600 which is found in new handsets like the LG Optimus G Pro, HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. Improved graphics will certainly lead to a crop of new games for Android 4.3.

Android 4.3 is expected to be introduced during Google I/O which takes place later this month. Originally, it had been thought that Google would debut Android 5.0 Key Lime Pie during the developer event, but withOEMs asking for a delay so that they can push out Android 4.2.2 to their current devices, Google has agreed to hold off on releasing the next major update to Android.
