Motorola DROID Bionic calls from the past, getting Android Jelly Bean update now

Motorola DROID Bionic calls from the past, getting Android Jelly Bean update nowThis might seem unreal but it’s not - the Motorola Droid Bionic released way back in September 2011 is getting updated to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.
The device launched on Verizon a year and a half ago and while the buzz around it dissipated quickly, it’s still getting the Jelly Bean treatment.

The Jelly Bean update brings all the usual features starting with Project Butter and the wonders it does with eliminating lag. It also introduces the 2011 flagship to Google Now, and all the niceties of Android 4.1.

Along with the usual stuff, there are some updates to the specifics of the Bionic experience. The update removes the pre-installed Sling and the MOG applications.
