Opera ties up with 7 Indian OEMs to pre-install Opera Mini browser on Android devices

Opera has announced that that have signed up with seven Indian mobile OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) to preinstall Opera Mini browser on all their upcoming upcoming Android smartphone and Tablets.
Opera partnered with Samsung last year to pre-install the Opera mini browser on their feature phones, the Samsung Star 3, Star 3 Duos and the Champ Deluxe Duos.
Opera mini for Android got a major update to version 7.5 last year that brought new Smart Page feature that lets you view  your favorite sites, latest updates from social networks (Twitter and Facebook), news gathered from your favorite sites (via their RSS feeds) and suggested links on the home screen. Opera mini has data compression feature that compresses a website to 10% using their unique compression technology. Opera Mobile for Android version 14 that was released in March brought a new UI, WebKit engine and a Off-Road mode that integrates the compression technology from Opera Mini
Opera Mini would be the exclusive third-party browser to come pre-installed on all Android devices from Celkon, Karbonn, Lava and Intex. It will also come pre-loaded on select Android devices by Fly and Zen and HCL ME tablets. Opera Mini is also available as a free download for range of mobile platforms.
