Samsung has started rolling out the Android 4.1.2 (Jelly Bean) update for the Galaxy Chat (GT-B5330) in India.The Galaxy Chat was announced back in July 2012 running Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). It was officially launched in India in September 2012. Samsung confirmed Android 4.1 update for range of Galaxy devices last year. Samsung Galaxy S Advance received the Jelly Bean update in India last week.
The Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy Chat brings Google Now, faster performance with project butter, new Nature UX, contextual search, Better notifications, and lots more features. Samsung is yet to roll out the Android 4.1 update for the Galaxy Music, Galaxy Beam, Samsung Galaxy S Duos and the Galaxy Ace Plus in India.
The Android 4.1.2 update for the Galaxy Chat is available OTA (Over the Air) and via Samsung Kies. You can check for the update manually from the Settings, About, Software update.
