Unknown Motorola Obake for Verizon discovered in AnTuTu; device could be the XT1055

Unknown Motorola Obake for Verizon discovered in AnTuTu; device could be the XT1055An unknown Motorola handset codenamed obake_verizon has appeared on the AnTuTu benchmark site with a score and specs similar to another unknownMotorola phone seen on the site last week. Back then,
we told you about the Motorola XT1055, which also appeared on the AnTuTu site. Both models had similar scores with the obake_verizon model tallying 18,218 and the Motorola XT1055 ringing up a score of 18,252. And both units have a quad-core 1.7GHz processor and are powered by Android 4.2.2.

While not giving us the 100% definitive answer, it sure would seem like the Motorola XT1055 and the obake_verizon model are both one and the same. It should be pointed out that the so-called Google X scored a lower 15,479 and sported Android 5.0.1. Benchmark scores can be faked, so we have to take all of this in with a healthy dollop of skepticism.

What makes this all so important is that the Motorola X is going to be the first phone produced by Motorola with input from Google. Expectations are high. But even if the obake_Verizon model is the same phone as the Motorola XT1055, there is no evidence that this is the phone codenamed Ghost.
